80- wins and 49 loses
Milledge, Mets top prospect has been sent back to triple A, but will probably
be called back in September for the playoffs. I see him as a potential
slugger who can only be an asset to any team during the regular season and
throughout playoffs. David Wright hasn’t played well since July 29th,
but the team has been able to put up
the wins needed to stay in control on the NL East. Tom Glavine sounds like
he’s ready to get back. Everyone has suffered some kind of injury this
season but the rest of the team has been able to put up what was needed to
get them the wins they have. The Mets finished their home stand with 8-1
record and a win for John (8 to3) Maine. David Wright has a call go his lucky
way and hopefully and end to his struggling offense. Mets magic number know
turns to eighteen to clinch the N.L. division as they head west for the
Colorado mountains to play the Rockies tomorrow.
